Amber's classical vocal experience is extensive. She has been performing classical music professionally for over fifteen years, frequently as a concert soloist or a choral section leader. Past favorites as a soloist include Carmina Burana and Handel's Messiah. Amber's opera credits include Mozart roles such as Donna Anna (in Don Giovanni) and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), as well as Mimi (La Bohème) and Violetta (La Traviata). Amber earned a Master of Music degree in performance from California Baptist University, and a BA in Music from California State University, Fullerton, where she got a great foundation for performing complex and dramatic music. 

Recently, Amber has been keeping busy with a new outlet: jazz! She is enjoying singing lead vocals with two local big bands in a variety of venues around SoCal. The freedom of expression in jazz, the fun of improvisation, as well as the opportunity to play some percussion and keyboard, are all big attractions to her, and she loves connecting with audiences and fellow band members. 

Amber fell in love with musicals as a child, and watched many of them in movie form with her family. Then she saw The Phantom of the Opera live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for her 11th birthday, and it changed her life. She has performed leading and supporting roles in musicals in multiple counties around SoCal, most recently appearing as female lead "Truly Scrumptious" in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. 

She loves singing with the praise band at her church and directing the choir. Amber started her musical life in church. She has cherished memories of harmonizing around the campfire with the youth group, leading congregational singing on Sunday mornings, candlelight Christmas Eve services, and performing at beautiful weddings and memorials. This music speaks to her heart, whether it's a traditional hymn singalong with choir and organ, or a spirit-led praise service with a rock band.

Growing up and living in and around Los Angeles has given Amber unique opportunities, and she's been blessed by the special community of singers here.
